Joanna
MacGregor, the world-renowned pianist, will be playing a fundraising concert
for the Centre on 19th November to celebrate both the Centre's
25th Anniversary and the life of Heather Christie Smith, who worked at
the Centre for many years and made a significant contribution in her roles
as Head of Counselling and Manager of the Home Visiting Service.
The venue is St. James's Church, Piccadilly and the concert will start at 7.30pm.
If you are not able to come, please consider making a donation to the Centre (see below).
Joanna MacGregor is one of the few classical musicians ever nominated for a Nationwide Mercury Prize and has performed in over 60 countries, appearing as a solo artist with many of the world's leading orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, and the London and Sydney Symphony Orchestras.
She will be joined by the respected tabla player and percussionist Kuljit Bhamra to perform a selection of South American music. Bhamra is one of the most influential musicians in the British Asian music scene, as a composer, producer, tabla player and pioneer of the Bhangra phenomenon.

There will be a reception after the concert to celebrate the Centre’s 25th Anniversary, to be attended by those purchasing £50 tickets. Drinks and light refreshments will be served. The reception will be hosted by the Centre’s President, Professor Karol Sikora, and Joanna MacGregor and Kuljit Bhamra have been invited to attend.
If you have booked tickets but haven't received them, you will be able to pick up duplicate tickets on the night.
