Become a Friend of the Centre

We have many friends and supporters in the communities in which we have worked for the past twenty-three years. We would now like to involve those who support us more closely with our work and outside activities by inviting them to become Friends of the Cancer Resource Centre. We very much hope that you will join us.

How you can help the Centre by becoming a Friend

1. You will be demonstrating your commitment to supporting our work by helping us to help people affected by cancer.

2. You will be invited to a Summer Friends’ Party where you will meet other Friends of the Centre.

3. You will receive free copies of our newsletter Lifeline, our Annual Review and a Friend’s badge.

4. You will receive invitations to events organised by the Centre.

5. You will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are part of a very special group of people who are supporting a unique and special organisation.

Where will the money go?

Money raised through Friends’ contributions will go towards the costs of running the Cancer Resource Centre and providing services for our clients.

The Centre relies on the financial support of its Friends and other fundraising to enable it to carry on providing advice, care, comfort and support in the community to the increasing number of people diagnosed with cancer who come to us for help:

£25 will pay for an initial Assessment

£45 will pay for a yoga class for eight

£75 will pay for a group therapy session

£100 will pay the laundry bill for a month

£250 will pay for six one to one therapies

£500 will enable us to support a client at home

£1,000 will enable us to support a client from diagnosis through treatment for as long as they need us.
